73- Love how I'm still keeping count??

Geeze, time flies so fast!! The last time I blogged was Tuesday, and I didn't even realize it. I thought I'd missed a couple of days. There wasn't really anything to blog about, so oh well.

Today I wrote three of my four blog posts for this week! Yay! One more left... and the easy one at that. I've pretty really busy with a shoot of two adorable little girls [which you can see the results of tomorrow on my blog www.kelleyjoimaging.blogspot.com ] and events for the newspaper, which is great! I've got another family shoot coming up on Tuesday.

My goals for tomorrow:

Write my last blog post
Re-evaluate my development schedule for my master systems list
Work on my dream client interaction story. After talking to Christina last week I think this is going to be easier than I was making it.
I also want to set up some portrait shoots with friends.... excited about this one. Really want to do one at the "Motley Castle" [hahah, you'd *so* laugh if you knew that Motley has a total population of 584, but that's really what people call it, and it's going to be a super cool place to do a concept shoot... if the owners agree *here's hoping*]

Hope everyone is still plugging away! I'm kind of missing the interaction we had earlier in the program... but I'm sure everyone is like me... BUSY! :)

I finished up my Master Locations List [well, I'm sure I'll always be adding to it] and got some prices down for my wedding offerings. I'm still not sure where I"m going to get the albums, so I can't set a for sure price.....I did talk to the rep from GraphiStudio today. I wrote tomorrows blog post and started working on my dream client interaction. I also started brainstorming more of the aesthetics of my brand.....started doodling some ideas for hand drawn borders, and some new blog/website color ideas. Also some more presentation ideas, and packaging. I went shopping for some ideas... I'm excited about this!

Tomorrow:

SET SAVINGS GOAL.
DO THE CLIENT INTERACTION STORY.

Sixty Seven Days and counting

Wahh!! There's just soo much to know! I still can't decide where to order my albums, mainly because I don't think that my clients will pay for a $345 album and still pay for all my time in creating it. I also can't decide how to offer DVDs and for what price. I *do* know that I have to charge a *lot* more than I am. And I also know that I will be offering a few low-res watermarked images for facebook and blogs [I really hate when ppl post your images all over and give you no credit]

Anyway, what I did today was a lot of research again. Trying to decide my whole pricing structure. I also put quite a few more locations on my Master Systems list [and also decided that I am going to do a fabulous portrait shoot at the "Motley Castle"... if I can get permission from the owners] and finished my senior shoot tip document. I actually had a lot of fun compiling those! I'm excited to send them out.

I didn't end up having the family shoot today, we rescheduled for Thursday. Even though we were planning on doing them inside it was still crazy cold to travel that far in [it was -22 this morning], so I got quite a bit done. I also scheduled my skype call for Wednesday so I have another day to work on assignments! Yay!

Still putting off that dream client interaction.... Anybody else have a tough time with that one???

Tomorrow:

Get some prices down on paper and start adding up a package.
Set a savings goal! [I keep forgetting to come up with this]
Evaluate my social circles some more and
tackle that client interaction.

I think if it's not so cold out tomorrow I'm going to head to the coffee shop or library to switch things up a little and find some more inspiration!

Sixty Six

All I did today was a little thinking about my social circles and some more brainstorming on my wedding packages. I also started organizing my client info, and *tried* combining my website email with my gmail account [which didn't work.. urgggh!] Seriously I feel a little overwhelmed by it all. There's a lot of work involved!

Tomorrow I have a family shoot, and some things for the paper, but I'd like try to get as many of my assignments done as possible, since I'll be having my skype call on Tuesday.

Day Sixty Four

For how many hours I put in today I feel like I got a lot done.... I wrote two blog posts for this coming week. I wrote my "Tips for Family Shoots" document [which was fun! I think I like it] and started on the one for seniors.

Tomorrow:

Finish the senior document
Set a saving goal
And finish my wedding offerings


Now it's off to a work party... where I'm the youngest by almost 30 years..... and we're going to play bingo! haha!

oooooh, long day, but not much to say for it! [you know those kind!] I basically did a *ton* of research on the products I want to offer, looked into different places to order photo books [I narrowed them down to two {I think} Kiss Books and Forbeyon] tried to decide on some photo package.. and prices of that. Decisions, decisions! I also put a lot of work into my document for clothing/prop tips for clients. Not quite finished though. I found a really great pricing guide tho... I'd kind of looked it over a while ago.. but I found it again today, and it goes along with a lot that Christina is telling me. It's here if yall wanna check it out. Day Sixty Two

I wrote a blog post and did a little bit of research today, and also re-evaluated what I want to offer in my wedding packages... Yesterday I had an encouraging skype call with Christina, and worked some on my assignments. She also helped me figure out some things to get me more motivated and inspired! =)

Finish up my offerings
Set a savings goal
Annnnd work on a third assignment [can't remember them all right now]

Six Zero

YAY for productive Mondays!!!! Today I had to get up early to take my sister to class since our car is in the shop and she doesn't know how to drive mine [it's a stick shift] So I spent the four hours while she was in class working away. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, because my computer wouldn't connect to the wireless network [but I got a  new wireless card for it today! so it should be fine after that :) ] but I got some good stuff accomplished.

Today I:

• Finished the family pictures from yesterday
• worked on a lot of assignments:
         started my dream client interaction story
         added to my Master Shoots Location list
         and did some research on personality based photos [oooh, that's the fun stuff]
• And got all my work for the paper done... so I should be able to work on some more stuff tonight

Tomorrow:

Finish up whatever I can before my skype call at 2! =)
        
        

        

Day Fifty Nine

I have been dragggggging my feet about assignments. I'm not really sure why. So tonight I got them all organized and:

Started on my Masters Shoots location list
Started brainstorming ideas for unique packaging materials, I realllly want these to be unique and very much reflect who I am, so I'm having a hard time finding things...... although I have found a few ideas. I found this post [http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=4158 ] which even though it's not photography related got me thinking about somethings.
I worked on my Weddings Operations Expense Breakdown..for some reason I don't feel like I have the numbers right, so I want to work on that more tomorrow
Started thinking about what social circles I am in that I can start marketing in
And also wrote a blog post [www.kelleyjoimaging.blogspot.com ]
And did a family shoot and edited the pictures.

Tomorrow:
Burn and DVD and package it for the family
Go over my Expense Breakdown again
Look over more packaging options, and start on some of my other brainstorming assignments

I didn't do anything business related today,except skyping with Alicia, which was really fun. If anyone else would like to bounce ideas, I'd love to do it with you. Thanks Alicia for asking!

Tonight I'm going to edit girls basketball pictures, hopefully get them all done and loading onto Zenfolio.

Fifty Six

I don't really feel like blogging today. I can't even remember what I worked on. Oh, I finished my my systems list development plan and thought about my five words.. [again] and looked at how my strengths could be an asset to my business. I'm still stuck on that one. To be honest, after Christina told me to take them again, and be more creative and come up with five points for each.... I kinda stuffed them in the closet ;) I'd look at them every week, but I really am still stuck. :P

Tomorrow I have my Skype call with Christina in the afternoon, so I'm just going to try and finish up any of the assignments that I didn't completely finish.
